Founded by a senior Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience across Australian and UK mental health systems, the practice brings together:

About the Founder

Dr Nik Loft is an AHPRA registered psychologist in Australia with endorsement in clinical psychology. He obtained a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Psychology in 2006 and completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in the United Kingdom in 2011. Additionally, he has a Graduate Diploma in Forensic Psychology and holds an Adjunct Research Fellow position with the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science (Swinburne University). He has worked extensively as a psychologist in adult forensic mental health and prison services in both Australia and the UK. He has also worked in other specialist services, such as a specialist forensic intellectual disability inpatient service, adult mental health services (community and inpatient rehabilitation), Adult Autism Diagnostic Service, and a neuropsychology service in the UK. He has prepared court reports in both the UK and Australia.

Dr Loft is a AHPRA board-approved clinical supervisor and continues to hold a senior leadership/principal psychologist role in secure inpatient services, providing clinical leadership, supervision, governance contribution, and service design within complex environments. He has also conducted and collaborated and published peer-reviewed research in international journals, presented at conferences, and regularly conducts audits, service evaluation and quality improvement projects.
